About Our Staff

Our staff is made up of student workers, volunteers and full time employees. Each person has a variety of programs to manage and hold office hours in the Center for Student Involvement (inside the Student Center on the second level). Jayme Gardner

Leadership Development Coordinator

Jayme was raised in Lawton, OK and received her undergraduate degree in Strategic Communication at The University of Missouri. She then earned a Master of Education degree in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Missouri. Jayme now oversees a number of initiatives, including the marketing for the Office, advising LEAD Peer Educators, coordinator the Emerging Leaders Program, teaching the Chancellor’s Leadership Class, advising the Women’s Leadership Conference and the Social Justice Symposium, and handling the Leadership Certificate Program.


Kelsey Kupferer

Venture Out Coordinator

Kelsey is the coordinator of Venture Out, our outdoor experiential education office. She holds undergraduate degrees in journalism and sociology from the University of Missouri, and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the Truman School of Public Affairs. In addition to managing Venture Out, Kelsey teaches an audio storytelling course in the University of Missouri Honors College. Before Venture Out, Kelsey served as the graduate assistant for Mizzou Alternative Breaks.

Bryan Goers

MSA, Leadership Senior Coordinator

Bryan is a native of Washington, Missouri and holds a Bachelors Degree from University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) and a Masters Degree from the University of Missouri through the Truman School of Public Affairs. He currently oversees the Missouri Students Association and helps with various Leadership & Service programs.

Tyler Hannsz

Leadership Graduate Assistant

Tyler was raised in Liberty, MO and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology at the University of Missouri. Tyler is currently pursuing a Masters in Music for viola performance at the University of Missouri’s School of Music and a Master of Social Work with an emphasis in Policy, Planning, and Administration. Tyler oversees programs such as the Emerging Leaders Program and the Mizzou Leadership Academy. Outside of Leadership Development and academics, Tyler is a facilitator for Venture Out and serves on the Mizzou Alternative Breaks executive board as the Director of Thanksgiving and Summer Service.
