Step Forward Day is a tradition on the MU campus. It is a one day service event geared toward first-year students, freshmen and transfers. New students have the opportunity to learn about and participate in community service projects through the Columbia community. Students meet at Tiger Plaza for registration in the morning, are then bused to a local service agency, volunteer for a few hours, and then are bused back to Tiger Plaza.

We are looking for 20-30 enthusiastic individuals to serve as Site Leaders for groups of first-year students at Step Forward Day 2016. Our Site Leaders are in charge of their group and ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable service experience. It is important that our SFD Site Leaders are passionate members of the Mizzou community to provide a great first-impression to our new students and help kick-off their semester, instilling values of service and active citizenship.
