Chancellor's Leadership Class
Established in 1980, the Chancellor's Leadership Class (CLC) is a unique leadership experience designed to recognize incoming freshmen who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to achieving their leadership potential. CLC is a yearlong program that will provide you with opportunities to develop and practice the skills, values, and knowledge of effective leadership. One of the most exciting aspects of CLC, however, is the chance to develop friendships and networks with other first-year students who share your enthusiasm for leadership and making a difference.

If you are selected for CLC, you will be enrolled in a one-credit class during both the fall and winter semesters. The class meets once a week and takes a hands-on approach to learning more about your personal leadership style, teamwork, ethics, diversity, and group dynamics. Other class experiences include community service projects, guest presenters, participation in a low and high ropes course, and the opportunity to interact with a variety of University administrators, faculty, and staff.
